We’re all guilty of comparing ourselves to other people, but I can’t be alone in thinking that recession-era comparisons take on a different level of urgency. Since no one is succeeding at the rate they would have a decade or two ago, it feels more important to check up on how those around us are doing.
Of course, we could redefine success as hanging out, watching netflix, and going to shows. This would definitely be good for my career ambitions, at least.
