When you do laundry rarely enough, you can often discover forgotten treasures among your things. It can be fun to reminisce about things you haven’t worn in many years, but it can also be confusing if someone else left something behind in the machine. Did it belong to a stranger, or a past version of yourself? Or, perhaps, a version of yourself from an alternate timeline.

I don’t know why they don’t just make a national laundry day holiday. If everyone had off one day out of the year to wash their clothes, it would be so festive! Suds in the streets, dryers a-tumblin’, everybody getting clean together. I really can’t imagine a better system.
