When I went to get a ring for Mayra, I wasn’t concerned about the size because she had told me multiple times that she wore a size 7. For those who don’t know, most jewelry stores keep size 7 rings in stock and then if you want to go larger or smaller it takes two weeks to get it sized.
Just days before I was going to propose and during a conversation about jewelry, I subtly asked Mayra what size ring she wears. This time, she says, “Oh probably a 6.“
It was too late to get it fitted and sure enough the ring was too big.
HOWEVER, we then went in to get it resized and Mayra wound up needing a 5 1/2, so really, it would’ve been wrong anyway and I think the point here is that I didn’t really make a mistake.
Anyway, Mayra recently told me that she still thinks the ring is too big but I’m calling shenanigans on this one.
