There you have it, folks. I know it’s all quite scientific-sounding, but quantum dating is just a fact of life. It’s not like you have to declare it a date beforehand. If that were the case we’d miss out on a lot of great episodes of TV shows where the characters don’t know if they are going on a date or not. Like that one where Doug and Patti went to the movies and some cafe where he ordered a “cup of chino.“

In Schrödinger's Cat theory the cat in question is both alive and not alive until the box it is in is opened and the cat revealed. In the comic the meeting is both a date and not a date until they either do or do not make out. In essence, they are Schrödinger's Cat.

In an attempt to resolve tim's issue, I googled "doug cup of chino" I didn't find the answer, but this comic was the second result. That must be somehow meaningful. Also, while conducting many other searches based on keywords form the comic for comparison, I began typing "greg and ted" and "greg and terry" was suggested. I clicked it, and it turns out greg and terry are the gay guys on American Dad. Just thought you should know.
