It kind of drives me nuts when professors start getting very specific about which edition of a book they expect you to have. One of Mayra’s professors recently told them to get a custom version of a textbook that was only printed for a completely different university and that had been out of print for three years (and as far as most online bookstores were concerned simply did not exist)… instead of buying the most recent version which was $10 and available everywhere.
Are they doing this just to be vindictive for having to deal with the students? I can’t quite figure it out.
