This is all very true; I do avoid doing dishes and I do get take-out a lot. At least half the time, though, the causal relationship between those two facts is reversed: I choose not to do the dishes because I already threw out the dishes that I used, because they were made of paper.
Still, that still leaves the other portion of the time, in which I slink away from a pile of dishes and change my dinner plans for the evening. It is shameful. Since it is the traditional time for making adjustments to become a better person, I am hereby declaring myself… RESOLVED!!

In my apartment I started off trying to be as good for the environment. That very quickly disappeared. By the end of the semester, I was really wondering why nobody had invented paper pots yet to make pasta easier. I now look at other peoples' dish washers as the "holy grail"s of apartments, which gets me a few weird looks…
