By now this is kind of old, but here’s a summary of the study in question.
And, for those of you who don’t know, Rene Engstrom is the creator of Anders Loves Maria (NSFW). I’m not sure how prominent her linguistic innovation is, but it did make the thirteenth definition of “bork” on Urban Dictionary, so… probably not that prominent?
