So I guess there’s no pope. It feels like the kind of thing that should be a bigger deal - a major world religion adrift, leaderless, thrown into a state of anarchy. They should declare a state of emergency or something, if only because that would make it more exciting.
Also, the media should cover the potential new popes (popefuls?) the way they would candidates for the presidency, because it’s been four months since election season ended and I’m having withdrawals.
