The only time Ted actually applies himself to a task, seeing it all the way through to completion, is when it’s completely useless and has to be abandoned as soon as it’s done.
Still, more impressive than Ted’s construction of the treehouse (including the tree branches nailed to the pole) is that he even managed to get up there at all.
