Ugh. Have you read the stuff Dave Sims has said? I’d recommend that you don’t. Just imagine cartoonishly-sexist drivel and then make it ten times worse.
Now, we’re far from perfect when it comes to this stuff. If you’ve read our old Alpha Philly Elemeno comic, I think you’d agree that some of the strips are… ignorant at best. At the time it didn’t come to mind that what we were doing was hurtful. Sometimes people are dumb!

The unfortunate thing is that sometimes people genuinely believe these crazy, horrible things they’re saying. It’s not a bad joke, or a misunderstanding, or somebody showing their ignorance. It’s just plain old hatred. It’s hard to feel anything but sick and weak when they’re spouting this nonsense, and I’m generally not even usually a target of these attacks. It’s just gross.
