If superheroes want to go out and party while sort of blending in, they can’t really beat Halloween parties. The added benefit of defending against masked killers means that they don’t have to feel obligated to bring beer or snacks, which is good, because we definitely didn’t. So it all worked out in the end, except for those murder victims.

Really, a masked killer isn’t all that different from a supervillain. The main thing is that they don’t have heroic counterparts in most cases, but I’m not really sure why. It makes a lot more sense for a Halloween-style protagonist to wear a ridiculous costume than for your average vigilante. Horror filmmakers, take note.

As usual, we tried to go out with a bit of a bang for our third year. Times like this it’s tempting to look back on all we’ve done and how far we’ve come. We try to resist that temptation. It has a way of giving you a sense of vertigo, and frankly, we’re dizzy enough when we make these comics as it is. Greg in particular, what with his lack of sleep.

Anyway, thanks for reading, and Happy Halloween! See you all on Friday, the beginning of our fourth year!
