The only union job I’ve ever had was at a grocery store. I wasn’t on a cash register, a fact that I was eternally grateful for when I happened to pass by and hear the advertisements running on short loops in every aisle. If you ever wondered whether grocery store unions are effective, just remember that these poor cashiers are forced to sit through that stuff all day long. I’m sure they can recite it in their sleep.
All of that, AND they had to deal with customers. It’s seriously the worst.
